Souq Bab Al Madinah, Zarqa, Jordan

This is the new shopping centre in the city of Zarqa in Jordan. It opened in mid-2022 and offers visitors a wide range of restaurants, cafes, shops and other services. Our business partners from Prihoda Arab Peninsula supplied almost 600 m of diffusers and installed everything in just 10 days. The diffusers are installed at a height of 18 m and follow the contours of the shopping centre’s curved roof. Because it is a large open space, we performed a series of CFD simulations in agreement with the customer to find the ideal solution for air distribution in this public zone. We had to achieve an airflow speed of 0.25 m/s for cooling and 0.15 m/s for heating in the occupied zone while creating an even temperature throughout the entire area.
